Start with studying accountancy since it is considered to be the paper where candidates can score well. While students from commerce background will already have familiarity with the basics of accounting, those from other backgrounds can start with the basics.
Once you are done with accountancy, move on to mercantile law. It is the second most mark-fetching subject. Make sure that you have a proper understanding of various legal terminologies and acts.
Next, pick up economics. Macroeconomics is regarded as a comparatively easy paper. Ensure that you know about the government policies and national level economics.
Lastly, move to quantitative aptitude. The paper might be somewhat difficult for you and thus it is advisable to join reputed CA, CPT classes in Kolkata. To arrive at a single answer in the MCQs, you might have to solve numerous problems. Thus, make sure that you learn time-management skills while studying this subject.
Month 3 – October
October is the month when you have to practice and revise the study material as many times as you can. If dealing with quantitative aptitude has been a tough time for you in the last month, simply pick up a subject which you really enjoyed studying. To refresh your memory and build tempo, solve basic questions first and then move on to the tough ones. Practice and revise till the time you feel confident of appearing in the exam.
Month 4 – November
This is the time to solve mock papers and attempt the questions of previous years. Attempting these tests will give you the real feel of the CA CPT exam. It will even help you develop time-management techniques and deal with anxiety. The fact that the 200 marks exam carries negative marking and needs to be solved in 2 hours, makes the foundation level all the more difficult.
Buffer Time – December
The last few days before your exam are the buffer time. Use this time to solve more mock papers, practice problems and revise everything you studied in the last four months.
Time to sail through the tough exam and aim for a bright future!
